Shame to see this club in Manor Road – est. 1887-  boarded up and facing demolition – especially since I’ve just got my CIU card. Joins a long list of recently closed pubs in the same area along Portland Road – CLARENCE/ GLADSTONE/OCEANSAPART plus THE ALLIANCE round the corner and longer  closed like TWO BOBBIES/GREYHOUND. We are hoping to enlist the services of someone to do a PUB WALK round derelict old boozers  before their history is lost.They look forlorn like  seaside resortsin winter but retain a nobility somehow.
