PICKLES has been voted the 4th most famous dog of the last century – after Lassie, Rin Tin Tin and Nipper. Now the South Norwood Tourist Board is hosting an annual festival in his honour in the run uo to the 50th anniversary in 2016.
Details of the opening event have now been announced:
March 20th at 1pm: Re-enactment of Pickles finding the world cup at the very location itself, The dramatic moment recaptured. The world’s first remote controlled Pickles.Speakers from Tourist Board and representatives of Crystal Palace FC. plus guests:
Richard Jones – former editor of TOTAL FOOTBALL and the world’s leading PICKLESOLOGIST
Tim Wells – the official poet in residence at PICKLESFEST who will read a specially composed verse.
LOCATION: ST.VALERY, 54 BEULAH HILL, SOUTH NORWOOD. 1PM PROMPT.
NB: This is a private house and the SNTB is grateful for the co-operation of residents but strictly no parking.
