……could be heard as the year fives all clambered round trying to get a piece of Pickles the Dog.
Today SNTB spent the day at Ryelands school, presenting the assembly, and visiting each class in turn, talking about local history and encouraging the children to research their homes for Blue Plaque week. History was mixed with fun, fact and musical interludes; making links between banjo music, Pickles and local history has proven quite challenging.
All the pupils seemed really interested in everything and generally excited at the prospect of researching their homes, it should indeed make for an interesting week, beginning on the 6th July.
