Our Response to their ‘advertising contract’ reasoning:
Good Evening Maria
Whilst I accept that TFL has a contract in place with a supplier who manages all the advertising, and their need to estimate revenue, cost etc., we are not asking to take up any space that is already identified as advertising space. What we are asking is if we can have our logo put up in space that is not already taken. There is plenty of space on the walls by either exit, and plenty of space in the underpass. Would it even be possible to get stickers produced that would be able to be placed at the bottom of the platform boards in the underpass. Stickers showing ‘exit to Crystal Palace’ have already been added to the exit signs.
South Norwood is an area of London which needs a lot of support in highlighting it’s wonders that are on offer, as it hasn’t been ‘gentrified’ like a lot of other areas. Due to the amount of people that pass through Norwood Junction it would be most unfortunate if we couldn’t take advantage of such a prime location. In essence everything we are trying to achieve appears to fall right under the Mayor’s remit in supporting people / organisations that are trying to make a little difference to others lives.
I thank you for your time on the matter but if the only reason for the TFL declining is to do with advertising contracts, the suggestions above, and the fact we are not a commercial venture should placate that clause.
Again I thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Regards
