Thanks to Andrew Jameson (again) for taking the opportunity to asking Mr Banks about South Norwood’s most famous son.
I think they should bring it back because it was a great thing him finding it. It’d be great to mark the anniversary and, after all, we wouldn’t have had a World Cup to win otherwise.
We didn’t meet Pickles but we should have done. They should’ve brought him to us. It was an incredible thing to do. We had a good laugh at that – we couldn’t believe a dog had found the World Cup. It was smashing.
Gordon is backed our bid to bring the world cup back to South Norwood to mark the 50th anniversary of Pickles finding the cup……….oh and England won it!
South Norwood Tourist Board now cordially invite Gordon Banks to come and meet the world’s only remote controlled Pickles.
