Dear Board Members,
My mother (87) grew up in South Norwood having moved there with her parents when Elm Park Road was on a new estate.
I grew up nearby and so did my husband.
Mum and I chanced upon your site today when we were emailing the Stanley Halls group with some of Mum’s recollections of the Halls.
It had been a dreary sort of day but soon we were cheered by your blend of enthusiasm, good nature, whimsy and loyalty to SE25.
We now live near Hythe in Kent, but perhaps something of the South Norwood influence came with us.
Your guided walks, seat project and fairy spotting challenge are commendable, as is your challenge to Cumbria over the title of Lake District.
Mum commented that your ventures reminded her of the South Norwood Social Centre of her youth.
May all your flights of fancy be turbulence free.
Maureen Jones
