The South Norwood Referendum shall be no different, therefore as SNTB are apolitical and simply aim to bring the world spotlight to the greatness of South Norwood, we are looking for champions fro each of the options on the ballot paper.
Join Scotland – is there anyone out there who feels similar to the ‘yes’ movement, that Westminster has little to offer South Norwood, and we should join with another independent nation (if Scotland vote no, we may have to find another country – Southern Ireland, Jersey, Sweden – who knows)
Become Independent – Is there anyone who could put a good case why we should cut our links with Croydon Council, are the bridge closures Croydon’s Knowledge that this will be the case and there are going to erect borders. Where will our money come from – should people have to pay to travel through SE25? These are questions that will be asked – are you up for the task.
Remain with Croydon – this should really be down to Tony Newman to find councillors to promote this view: Tony, Paul, Hamida, Kathy, Wayne and Jayne to tell us why South Norwood should remain with Croydon Council.
SNTB associate members will be our areas answer to Paxman / Dimbelby rolled into one. We will invite questions from the audience to great a night of debate, discourse, probably beer but above all fun.
To apply for be a champion simply email us with a brief manifesto and we can all hopefully create three parties who can campaign via Facebook/Twitter (relevant accounts will be created linked to SNTB site). Remember 16 year olds can vote – an historic occasion – so they can champion a cause.
Lets have some fun over this summer, two festivals, one Sensible seat and the Great Referendum.
