We asked any couple who wants to be involved in our betrothal service to let them know a little about themselves, so the community can feel they know them and have been personally invited.
Tessa and I met on the 26th September 2007 in Edmonton, Alberta and after I returned from a trip to Praguethat autumn we became engaged on Valentine’s Day 2008. Unfortunately in June 2008 I was thrown out ofCanada for working without the correct documentation and, finding myself on the wrong side of the Montanaborder with no way back in, had to go live in Seattle for a year. Being a stubborn kind of woman Tessa refusedto give up on me and visited me in Seattle over the next 12 months – we got married there for the first time on26th September 2008, a year to the day after meeting; on a spousal basis I was eventually allowed back intoCanada, where we got married again in August 2009, and our eldest daughter arrived on the scene in January2010.Just in case things might have seemed to be getting too easy, in 2011 I accepted a job offer back in mynative London, and we all moved over to begin the immigration process anew. In 2012 we moved to SouthNorwood, our second daughter was born there, and we’ve never really looked back. Having been married in twodifferent countries (and had children in two) we would be keen to complete the hat trick, and can think ofnowhere better than romantic South Norwood to renew our vows. Magda and Clara (now 5 and 2) are also very keen to be flower girls.
Lets be sure and give Matthew and Tessa a betrothal they will never forget!
