On Sunday the 26th, it will have been a year since the good old Captain unveiled his seat and opened the garden that was bestowed with his name. So many people said it was a good idea but ‘you know it won’t last……it will be trashed within a month’.
Fast forward a year, and the garden, with no owner, no committee, and no focus group to state how and what should be done, the Sensible Garden is still thriving, thanks to all those who continually work on it and enjoy the surroundings.
To celebrate it’s birthday and or anniversary, from 2pm, SNTB & Crystal Palace TT are hosting a sensible picnic to mark the occasion. To continue with the ethos of the garden (non ownership) please bring along any food that you are happy to be shared with everyone and we can make it a wonderful South Norwood Sensible Sunday. Music provided our own lovely Rose, the Vintage DJ.
