The importance of the lake naming ceremony on February 1st when the country park lake will be named LAKE CONAN DOYLE is not to be underestimated. The tourist board has had to discover that lakes can only be renamed during the festival of IMBOLC and by the laying of petals on the lake surface as an offering to the spirit of the lake. Of course there are modern legal requirements but this will be a chance to witness a rarely performed ritual and sure to attract many to the country park. We suggest the wearing of diaphanous robes or Sherlock Holmes attire or both.
Lake Conan Doyle will be the 4th largest lake in London and one of the few London landmarks visible from the moon.
‘the sedge has withered from the lake and no birds sing’………..incantation repeated.
When will the ceremony take place?
